Well its been 6 years since my last blog and as I am now a retired elderly gent of leisure I have been guilted into restarting the stories. Thought I would start with a recap of the three visits I did. Alex & Cody, Kez n Damo and STEM.
Canada Touring
Jenny and I planned to visit the Canadian family early last year as it would have been quite some time since we caught up with Alex and Cody. As it turned out, they dropped the bombshell.........yes they bought a dog!
Oh yeh, and Alex is Pregnant!!!.
Anyway we had a great time starting with a week in Fernie, Alex's old ski town. Then onto K/W to see the new home, the hound, ice, cold miserable weather. the pavement(saw that up close three times) and some old friends we new from 2006.

Easter in Griffo
Now some snaps with Kez n Damo in Griffith. Did the pilgramage down to Griffith with a bazillian other Easter travellers. Once past Yass however it was a very peaceful trip. Headed straight for the Murrumbidgie to camp meeting the crew at the camp, or in the middle of a cotton paddock more likely. Anyway, the "Bidgee" is an awesome river to camp on, even though thid time it was incredibly empty. We could walk ankle deep in the middle of the river. Needless to say no fish was caught for the evening meal!
I headed back into town early to catch a bike ride with the Griffith cycling fraternity and caught up with Kez for a tour of the house after. We spent the days planning a Degustation dinner including local wines. Did some garden planning, played games and chatted about ideas for the house AND what it would be like to be an Aunty!

Hanging in Albury
Second week of the Easter break. Another expecting mother!! Must be something in the water. Dropped into Wandoo Crescent after the Griffo visit to check out the soon to be parents.
Em and Steve wouldn't let me do any work around their place in case I got shingles again, especially after a bike ride. But we did have a play finishing the deck, fiddling in the garden, checking out the nurseries, playing the traditional game of bowls (Parkers V Dibbens - sort of) and I tried to drink Steve's kegs of home brew dry (like I did in Canada)

Of course we had the traditional Thai feast night. Slight twist this time as the meal, even tho it came from the registered (this is where we get the Thai feast recipes from) cookbook, we had a Japanese dish called Sukiyaki.
